With her modeling career successfully under way, Shanna McLaughlin now hopes to turn her attention to business. Before leaving for California, she was three classes shy of earning a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Central Florida.”I want to use my business background and stature as a Playmate to help form a charitable foundation that acts as an angel investment firm for women looking to go to graduate school or start their own companies,” she explains. “I am determined to fight the stereotype perpetuated by the media that Playmates are all ditzy blondes.”

Shanna answered an ad on Craigslist for the Playboy TV reality series “Playboy Shootout” and boy, are we glad she did! She won the competition and became an actual Playmate. Woo hoo!

We hear that a young lady named Shanna McLaughlin will be Playboy’s Miss July of this year. We know nothing about her except that she’s a model. We found Shanna’s Facebook page so we at least know that she’s blonde. Could she be Michelle McLaughlin’s sister (Miss February ’08)? Doubtful, but you never know. Stay tuned.
