Although she was named Germany’s Playmate of the Year of 2005, Berlin native Janine Habeck had long dreamed of becoming an American Playmate. Hef finally made this fine fräulein’s dream come true in 2006 by making her Miss September. He even invited her to live at The Playmate House for a year, which she did. Janine liked California so much that she now lives here permanently, which should be good for her career. Look for her to be a vital member of the Playboy family for years to come!

Miss November, Grace Kim, earned a degree in English from UCLA and worked as a paralegal and a teacher before parlaying her addiction to Guitar Hero into a job with Activision, publisher of the video game series. In a bid to win an invitation to a Mansion party, Grace sent her photo to Playboy. “The next day the magazine asked me if I wanted to try out to be a Playmate,” she says. “I’m still reeling- it’s such an honor and a compliment.” Grace was Playboy’s first ever Korean Playmate.

Have you seen the new Girls Next Door spin-off show called The Bunny House?
If not, you should. It premiered Sunday August 8th on The E! Network, and unlike the original show, it’s very “guy friendly”. The original GND had virtually no interest to heterosexual males. The three girls weren’t Playmates and let’s face it, Kendra was the best of the bunch and she wasn’t even that hot. And who cares about Hef’s so-called girlfriends and their vapid little lives? Not me, that’s for sure.
But The Bunny House is all about PLAYMATES! It’s shot in the house next to The Playboy Mansion where several recent Playmates live. You’ll see them bouncing around in skimpy little outfits, lingerie, bikinis etc.
Playmates that live there include: Jaime Edmondson, Hope Dworaczyk, Jennifer Pershing, Crystal McCahill, Kimberly Phillips and newcomer Claire Sinclair. They even threw 2008 PMOY Jayde Nicole in there to stir shit up! It’s on the E! Network Sunday nights and replays throughout the week.
So be sure to check it out. The show is great, trust me. Just do what I do and watch it with the sound off so you can truly enjoy the visual feast ;)
Tamara Witmer is a beautiful woman who knows what she wants in a man. Playboy’s Miss August 2005 says that while she finds successful men sexy, they’re not necessarily her ideal. “I would rather be with someone whose not that hot, but down-to-earth and stable.” Tamara hasn’t had lots of boyfriends because she’s shy. “I’d love to be more outgoing, but it’s difficult for me to come out of my shell” she confesses.

Miss Janska comes from a small village outside of Prague and she describes herself as down-to-earth. It didn’t take long for Marketa to pick up on the different dating styles of Czech and American guys. Does she have a preference? “It depends on the person and how charismatic he is,” she says. “In America, a guy would want to impress me by taking me to an expensive restaurant, something fancy. In the Czech Republic, we would go for a bicycle ride or on an afternoon hike- something simple. I don’t like show-offs. I like nice guys who don’t try too hard.”
Playboy’s Miss June of 2007 was the smokin’ hot Brittany Binger. This California transplant has a heart of gold to go with her sun-kissed skin. In addition to shooting a Playboy Special Editions cover, and appearing in The Girls Next Door, Brittany has been focusing on charity work. She sells her headshots on her MySpace page and gives all the proceeds to a charity called School of Hope. “Giving makes me feel so good,” she says.

Let’s take another look at Miss February 2005 Amber Campisi. She’s an all-natural beauty from Dallas, Texas who recently graduated from college and is working in her parent’s Italian restaurant. Playmate of the Year Sara Jean Underwood wasn’t shopping for talent when she walked into Bebe in Beverly Hills, but in 26-year-old sales specialist Ida Ljungqvist she spotted a must-have item. They got to chatting, and Sara realized this one was more than just an exotic beauty with a flawless figure. As she would later tell Holly Madison, Ida has the spark and flair of a Playmate. Soon thereafter the Girls Next Door showed up unannounced at the clothing boutique, camera crew in tow. “I was in total shock when they asked me to pose,” Ida says. “I’m kind of a thrill seeker. Throw me in- I’ll sink or swim!” Miss Ljungqvist swam alright. She became the Playmate of the Year for 2009.

Newport Beach, California is the new home of Miss February 2006, Cassandra Lynn. Taylor made for a swimsuit, Cassandra has recently placed high in several Hawaiian Tropic pageants and she’s an undisputed winner when the bikini comes off. “I love to run around the house naked,” she says, laughing. “It’s natural.” She was on the diving team in her high school, and she loves to scuba dive. “My favorite spot is Kona, Hawaii, where the lava tubes are so pretty,” she says. “I’m not afraid of sharks or anything like that, but I don’t like to touch the bottom.”

After Las Vegas native Destiny Davis won first place in a local bikini contest, a friend took some pictures of her and sent them off to Playboy. It wasn’t long before they were calling offering her a test shoot. Destiny’s blend of Irish, Swedish, English and Syrian features wowed them, and her distinctive name sealed the deal. Soon she was Miss January 2005. “I don’t know what my mom was thinking when she named me,” Destiny says. “People ask, ‘Is that a stage name or what’, but it’s my real name believe it or not!”
The word around the water cooler is that a young lady named Olivia Paige will be named Playboy’s Miss September of this year. All we know about her is that she’s 18, blonde, and one of the contestants on the “Playboy Shootout”. We’ll let you know when we know more.

Playboy’s 2006 PMOY Kara Monaco is a homebody but she’s not boring. She never lets her relationships become routine and predictable. “Being spontaneous always helps,” she says. “Surprise your significant other by making dinner or preparing a bubble bath for both of you. I try to keep things spicy.” So when this bartender is finished pouring shots at work, does she then call the shots in her relationships? “I’m in charge, but I make him think he is,” she says with a sly grin.

Although college studies are her top priority, Miss May 2006, Alison Waite, admits with a mischievous grin that it wasn’t always so. “In high school I was more preoccupied with boys and didn’t apply myself,” she says. When asked what a man needs to lure her away from her books, Ms. Waite is quick with a reply. “I want someone to challenge me and make me want to be a better person- someone I can have a conversation with.”

For Buffy Tyler, sharing the same first name wth the most famous vampire slayer in the world is a bit of a drag. “I hear Buffy jokes every day,” she sighs. “Guys say, ‘Buffy? Like, Buffy the Vampire Slayer? I wish I were a vampire!’ I’ve never even seen the show or the movie.”
Buffy says she’s down-to-earth and family oriented. “There’s never a day that goes by when we don’t say ‘I love you’ to one another. My mom raised three kids on her own and put us before anything else. She never gave up and always kept reaching for her dreams.”
Miss Tyler occasionally works in a salon as a nail technician, but she dreams of getting into fashion design and wants to give acting a try. “I would love to be in an action movie,” she says. “Something that keeps you on your toes!”

We hear that a model name Angela Francesca Frigo will be Playboy’s Miss August this year. From the look of Angela’s MySpace profile, she’s a smokin’ hot brunette from Venezuela. Every year Hef throws in a super hot glam-model type whose definitely not The Girl Next Door and it would seem that Miss Frigo is this year’s version- Yowza!!!

Hey- we just added a new gallery of Playmate Tailor James. You’ve probably seen her before. The Canadian ice-melter was one of the girls featured in Playboy’s February 2003 Cyber Girls pictorial. “A friend of mine is a photographer, and it was his idea to try the whole Playboy thing,” says Tailor. “It’s funny- most of my baby pictures are of my cousin and me running around nude in my grandmother’s backyard. I guess things haven’t changed much.”

We hear that a young lady named Shanna McLaughlin will be Playboy’s Miss July of this year. We know nothing about her except that she’s a model. We found Shanna’s Facebook page so we at least know that she’s blonde. Could she be Michelle McLaughlin’s sister (Miss February ’08)? Doubtful, but you never know. Stay tuned.
